Sometimes referred to as a "Bombay Box" as this distinctive work is typical of the Bombay area. A Sandalwood box overlaid with micromosaic work including "sadeli" work which is a specific type of mosaic work typical of this part of India. The mosaic is composed of ivory, pewter and ebony.
