"Grandmother's Fan", a standard design pieced quilt with an individual twist, colors as bright as the sunlight on a white sand beach at noonday, with an almost infinite number of fabrics, probably left over from sewing projects and feedsacks (sellers of farm supplies understood that farm wives used scraps of fabric to make quilts - packaging supplies in re-usable material could help sell the contents), all cotton, medium weight batting, hand sewn, 7 stitches per inch, 68" X 76", in excellent original condition, professionally washed. circa 1930.
