Iron Front Clock
Scarce and desirable 8 day time and strike clock which strikes on the hour, circa 1850, with its original movement, pendulum, hands, dial, glass and bezel. The movement though unmarked is the design that was produced by Welsh and J.C. Brown, both Connecticut clockmakers. The case interior retains a portion of the original paper label which appears to be that of The American Clock Co. who was a supplier of, but not a manufacturer of clocks. The case retains its original Japanned surface with Mother-of Pearl decoration; fully serviced and guaranteed by our professional clock restorer, 15" H. X 12" W. X 4-1/2" D.
