Finely hand hooked wool on burlap, imaginary birds and unicorns, a Pearl K. McGown design. She was a rug designer and creator who was an important influence in the art of rug hooking in the early 20th century. The design is perhaps inspired by Renaissance Tapestries. In excellent unused condition, mid 20th century. 20"x25-1/2". A delightful wall hanging - we can have a sleeve made so it is ready for hanging.
