Probably a New England scene, Circa 1860-1880, in a period Lemon Gold Frame. The painting shows some crackling of the paint, but no tears or puncture. The stand is in nearly perfect condition with one very small chip on the base. The period Pith Painting is in very good condition with a very slight stain in the upper right hand corner.
