Antique Cast iron Owl Andirons, circa 1900, from the Rostand Manufacturing Co., a Connecticut Foundry that made high quality castings of many styles of andirons and other cast iron household items. The translucent yellow glass eyes with black pupils allow the light from the fireplace to pass through them and light up the eyes. 8 1/2" wide, 14" High, 16" Deep. Hessian Soldier Andirons of cast iron, Early 20th Century. The paint decoration appears to be of a later date. There is no damage or repair.
