A RARE, possibly unique, Victorian Sailor's Hair Memorial in the form of an anchor, in an Ebonized surface shadow box frame with a broad gold leaf fillet and a gold leaf outer border. The hair anchor is decorated with small pearls and has a velvet background. 12" X 14" overall dimensions. Hair Memorials were common in the Victorian era, but were typically in the form of wreaths or bouquets of flowers. SOLD - Antique English Campaign Chest (circa 1880) in two parts, with all original locks, lift handles, key hole escutcheons, brass binding and removable feet. Solid Mahogany with rich figuring and color, with a clean finish. The secondary wood is Pine. All drawers run smoothly. All joints are tight.
